Job Summary:
The HR Manager will play a key role in building and managing our growing team, ensuring smooth HR operations, and supporting the company’s overall strategy. This role involves overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and compliance with HR regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to create an efficient, scalable, and well-structured HR framework that aligns with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent. This includes identifying, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various positions within the company
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company, as well as handle offboarding procedures
- Training and Development: Organize and implement training and development programs to foster employee growth and improve performance
- HR Policies and Documentation: Develop and enforce HR policies, maintain HR documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Visa Support: Provide support for employees requiring visa sponsorship
- Budget Management: Oversee the HR budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing a team, conducting interviews, and leading recruitment efforts
- Experience in negotiating and collaborating with partners from consulting firms, research companies, academia, and organizations developing complex engineering, architectural, and IT solutions
- Background as a recruiter, preferably with experience in a recruitment agency rather than an in-house HR department
- Understanding of startup environments and their unique challenges
- Experience in recruiting talent for biotech, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech companies
- Experience working with early-stage startups, remote employees, and those who are not US citizens
- Experience collaborating with contract recruiters and establishing streamlined HR policies in small, fast-growing companies
- Knowledge of HR and employment regulations in the US, including multi-state companies
- Strong network of talent pools and contract recruiters, with connections to top-tier universities
